Hurricane Preparedness
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration issued its outlook for the 2026 hurricane season. They predict a below-average hurricane season due to the development of El Niño conditions, which currently officials are predicting that there will be 12 to 15 named storms, seven (7) hurricanes, and 2 to 3 major hurricanes (Cat 3+).

Animal Control Services
Due to an increase in stray animal sitings in the District, residents are encouraged to contact the Harris County Animal Control Center through the Veterinary Public Health Division at (281) 999-3191 to report any stray pets, leash law violations, and barking complaints.
