Notice of 2017 Tax Record Error for Tidwell Lakes Subdivision

The Tidwell Lakes Subdivision (“Tidwell Lakes”) is located on Tidwell Road approximately one-half (1/2) mile east of E. Sam Houston Parkway (“BW8”). Pursuant to an agreement between Far East Land, Ltd., the developer of Tidwell Lakes and the District, Tidwell Lakes is being annexed into the District. Sections One (1), Two (2) and Nine (9) of Tidwell Lakes and the commercial tracts located north of Tidwell Road at BW8 (the “Annexed Sections”) were annexed into the District on January 10, 2017.

Recently, it came to the District’s attention that tax statements for the 2017 tax year had been sent to property owners in the Annexed Sections. Such tax statements were sent due to an error in the Harris County Appraisal District (“HCAD”) tax records that included the Annexed Sections on HCAD’s supplemental tax roll for the 2017 tax year. While HCAD has corrected the 2017 tax records and sent a copy of the attached correspondence to property owners within the Annexed Areas, the District wants to ensure that such property owners have not paid taxes for the 2017 tax year to the District.
